Mornings can be the hardest part of the day. The alarm rings, the kids are up, breakfast needs to be made — and before you know it, you’ve already poured yourself into everyone else but forgot to fill your own cup.
But what if I told you that just 5 minutes with God every morning could change how you feel, think, and act for the rest of the day?
Many moms want to start their day with God but…
We feel too busy.
We think we need a full 30-minute devotion to make it count.
We get distracted before we even open our Bible.
The truth? God can meet you in just 5 focused minutes — and those minutes can set the tone for everything that follows.
Here’s how to do it:
1. Start with a Deep Breath and Gratitude (1 minute)
Close your eyes.
Whisper “Thank You, Lord, for this new day.”
List 3 things you’re grateful for.
2. Read One Verse Slowly (2 minutes)
Choose a short, powerful verse. For example: Psalm 118:24 – “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
Read it out loud. Let each word sink in.
3. Short, Focused Prayer (2 minutes)
Talk to God about your day.
Ask for strength, wisdom, and joy.
End with “Amen” — knowing He’s with you.
Why It Works
Shifts Your Mindset: Gratitude pushes out stress.
Keeps You Rooted: God’s Word centers your thoughts.
Empowers Your Day: Prayer invites His presence into everything you do.

Bible Verse to Keep in Your Heart
Isaiah 41:10 – “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.”
